Comic Con: the pop culture festival
Until Sunday, the Costa Salguero Center hosts the most important meetings of the entertainment industry. This year has two international visits: Robert Patrick and Itziar Ituno. Comic Con (comic book convention) originated in the United States, where it has been played for over 50 years. Film and television studios, video games and publishers are participating. In Argentina, it has been officially held since 2013 and is currently the largest Spanish-speaking Comic-Con in the world.

New edition of Cultural Currents

The cast of drag queens will present a fragment of the musical, with Fer Dente and Laura Esquivel in front of the Astral Theater. Aníbal Pachano says goodbye to the theater at Regina
After a whole life dedicated to the theater, Aníbal Pachano bids farewell to So…i’m back, a show with which he closes a career that has made him a reference in the music hall. The show covers his beginnings in Cordoba, his moves, his studies in architecture, the creation of the mythical group Bottom Tap, his theatrical productions, his illness and his art.
A theatrical autobiography that will present the artist for the last time on stage at the Teatro Regina (Avenida Santa Fe 1235, CABA), one of the most emblematic theaters in Buenos Aires, located next to the Casa del Teatro. In addition to Aníbal Pachano, the cast is completed by Mariano Magnifico, María Laura Cattalini, Nacho Pérez Cortés, Judith Cabral, Gonzalo Gerber, Yasmín Corti, Matías Vega, Victoria Molotok, Yanina Muzyka, Emmanuel Casal and Julia Montiliengo.

In her International Museum Day, the completion of the 2022 census prevented spaces from celebrating. It was the third year without a celebration, since in 2020 and 2021 the pandemic forced the closure of theaters.
Museum Day was created by the International Council of Museums (ICOM) in 1977, to promote and protect the natural and cultural heritage, present and future, tangible and intangible, of humanity. The celebration takes place in 158 countries around the world and this year’s motto is “The power of museums”.
This Saturday the entrance to the BA museums will be free so that the public can enjoy the festivities and discover the heritage and exhibitions of the museums. Allusive posters created especially for this celebration as well as urban tributes will be delivered to visitors at all sites. Between 3:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. there will be edible installations at the Larreta Museum, the Fernández Blanco Museum and the Sívori Museum, with collaborations between artists and foodies.
Tribute to Sara Facio at the Beaux-Arts
The National Museum of Fine Arts devotes to the photographer Sara Facio, on the occasion of her 90th birthday, an exhibition with her most representative photos. At 90, the artist celebrates at the National Museum of Fine Arts with a sample of 30 photographs taken between 1960 and 2010.
There are her favorite images, chosen by herself. Of course, there is the photo of Julio Cortázar, who has become an icon but is not the only writer. The list of authors represented by Facio includes Pablo Neruda, Gabriel García Márquez, Doris Lessing, Octavio Paz, Carlos Fuentes, Mario Vargas Llosa, Jorge Luis Borges.
Together with them, the series “De Brujos y Hechiceras” is developed, where photos by Rómulo Macció, Jeanne Moreau, María Elena Walsh are included. Also on display are photos of the “Funeral of President Perón”, a black and white series taken in 1974.

The House of Santa Fe and a sample of its artists
On Thursday the 19th an exhibition of painting and sculpture by visual artists born in Santa Fe was inaugurated. Works by Augusto Gallo and Mario Martínez are exhibited here. Martínez’s work refers to the representation of a multifaceted universe. In his paintings he captures the experiences of human beings trapped in the machinery of society and focuses on the role of women as protagonists in a dream world. The exhibition can be visited until June 16, Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
