Canada Day Events in the Oceanside Area will end in style at Parksville Community Park. The fun begins with a pancake breakfast at 7:30 a.m., followed by a parade at 10 a.m. and entertainment in the early afternoon.
In recent years, the parade has drawn an on-site audience of approximately 25,000 people.
Food trucks, a market and a festive atmosphere for families and children will be there.
The hugely popular annual Canada Day fireworks display at the community park, hosted by a private company, begins at 10:15 p.m.
Motorists are reminded to expect significant delays in the area, while limited parking in downtown Parksville is expected.
Ladysmith celebrates Canada Day
The Town of Ladysmith brings back its regulars, pre-pandemic family events at Transfer Beach Park.
Ladysmith’s Canada Day festivities begin with a pancake breakfast between 9 and 10:30 a.m. hosted by their local Kinsmen club, with the official ceremony beginning at 11 a.m. at the amphitheater.
There is also a scavenger hunt that takes place all day in the city.
