Ibiza’s dreamy new ‘beach caves’ offer travelers a new kind of experience on the island

Ibiza has long been the destination of choice for sun-seeking revelers and nestled along the crystal clear coast of Cala Xarraca Bay, Six Senses Ibiza opened its doors in the summer of 2021 and has since ushered in a new era of luxury on the island.

This week, the luxury hotel added six new ocean-facing suites, a Latin-Mediterranean-inspired restaurant, recording studio and late-night lounge known collectively as The Beach Caves, and once again transforms this northern part of Ibiza into a dream destination. in his right.

Among some of the cultural programming and activations guests can expect at The Beach Caves, there is an emphasis on art, music and live entertainment, as well as environmental and community initiatives. The brand says it also plans to introduce new partnerships with The Lonely Whale Foundation and Project Zero in the coming year.

While ongoing cultural programming will be at the heart of the beach caves and open to hotel guests and locals alike, instilling a strong sense of community and local culture was integral to the overall concept.

Celebrating local and seasonal ingredients, the Beach Caves Restaurant and Terrace will infuse Latin American flavors inspired by Peru and Mexico. Overlooking Xarraca Bay, the menu will feature signature dishes with an emphasis on locally caught seafood, accompanied by eclectic cocktails and a selection of natural and organic wines.

The centerpiece of The Beach Caves, The Xarraca Room will serve as an intimate nightlife venue that will offer arts and music programming. The small venue will also host local and world-renowned DJs, artists, performers and musicians and will be available for private parties for up to 150 guests.

Offering an uncommon sense of escape to travelers on the island, the One-Bedroom Cave Suites will feature a maximalist oversized bed and a large outdoor deck directly overlooking the water while offering stunning views of the bay.

The real accommodation piece de resistance is the Cave Royale suite which features a grand piano, full bar and outdoor tub, as well as a secret door leading to the recording studio below.

“Through its unique design and extensive programming, we aim to create an incredible destination for hotel guests and the local community to eat, drink, dance, shop and sleep,” Pundole said.
