Saudi Arabia unanimously re-elected chair of ALECSO executive council

Arab countries, represented by members of the Executive Council of the Arab Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO), have unanimously re-elected Saudi Arabia as President of the Executive Council until 2024 .

This follows the meeting of the 26th session of the General Conference, which concluded its activities on Saturday.

The Arab ministers welcomed the initiative of the chairman of the Executive Council of ALECSO, Hani bin Moqbel Al-Moqbel, to draw up the Council’s roadmap.

Al-Moqbel thanked the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and the Crown Prince for their constant support.

Al-Moqbel thanked Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan, Saudi Minister of Culture, Chairman of the National Committee for Education, Culture and Science, for his support, guidance and supervision.

He also thanked the Arab countries and the members of the Executive Council of ALECSO for the election of the Kingdom and for having renewed confidence in the results obtained during the last ten months.

Al-Moqbel said that the Kingdom, in its presidency of the Executive Council, “has worked to monitor the interests of countries by listening to their proposals, observations and visions…Countries will work with more effort and greater interest in take care of the interests of the organization”.
