Tehran International Quran Exhibition attracts over 1 million visitors

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Iran’s Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance said more than one million people visited the 29th International Holy Quran Exhibition.

The number of those wishing to visit the exhibition during the holidays was so large that some visitors were unable to enter the Mosalla (the prayer hall which hosts the event), Mohammad Mehdi Esmaeili said during a ceremony organized at the exhibition on Thursday to honor the servants of the Koran.

The ceremony was also attended and delivered by Iranian President Seyed Ebrahim Raeisi.

Esmaili praised the good cooperation of the Quranic community in the country in holding the exhibition and the contribution of government agencies and organizations such as the Ministry of Education, the Organization of Awqaf and Charitable Affairs, the Ministry Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts, Tehran Municipality, Islamic Development Organization, IRIB. , etc.

He added that one of the main features of this year’s exhibition was to focus on the family and pay special attention to teenagers and children, for whom special programs were organized.

The Minister of Culture expressed the hope that such exhibitions will take place in other parts of the country and in other months of the year.

He went on to say that President Raeisi’s administration sees no limits in supporting and developing Quranic activities.

The 29th Tehran International Quran Exhibition which was inaugurated on April 16th at Imam Khomeini (RA) Mosalla and will conclude its activities today, April 29th.

The exhibition is organized annually by the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance during the holy month of Ramadan.

It aims to promote Quranic concepts and develop Quranic activities.

The exhibition presents the latest Koranic achievements of the country as well as a variety of products dedicated to the promotion of the Holy Book.
