The Classic Center Cultural Foundation’s Paul T. Martin Hospitality Education Fund Now Accepting Applications | Lifestyles

(Athens, Georgia)– The Classic Center Cultural Foundation is eager to announce new scholarships available through the Paul T. Martin Hospitality Education Fund. The Classic Center Cultural Foundation has raised funds through the Paul T. Martin Hospitality Education Fund to provide up to $25,000 to those interested in pursuing careers in hospitality, events, music, or industry sports management. The Paul T. Martin Hospitality Education Fund enables the Classic Center Cultural Foundation to donate this $25,000 in addition to the $30,000 the Classic Center Cultural Foundation awards in hospitality, performing, and visual arts.

Applications for the Paul T. Martin Hospitality Education Fund are open to anyone currently enrolled in hospitality industry programs at the University of Piedmont, University of Georgia, and Technical College of Athens. Senior graduates of the Athens Community Career Academy are also encouraged to apply.

The Paul T. Martin Hospitality Education Fund was established to honor Paul Martin and his lifelong contributions to Athens. He has always been a big supporter of the hospitality industry and the growth it brings to the community. Paul Martin was instrumental in envisioning and establishing the hospitality education continuum, which meets individuals where they are in their career path to teach them the skills necessary to succeed in the hospitality industry. Paul Martin has also been a strong proponent of the classroom curriculum and hands-on training and believes that students receive the best education when these two tactics are combined.

Paul Martin was a member of the board of directors of The Classic Center Authority from 1996 to 2004. After serving on the board of directors of The Classic Center Authority, Paul Martin became an emeritus member of the board, a status for life. He is a gifted teacher who loves sports and education. Paul Martin’s values ​​of serving others through hospitality, teamwork and servant-style leadership have helped shape the Classic Center’s mission into what it is today.
