The exhibition captures the giant steps taken by Minhang in 3 decades

An exhibition of paintings by artists Chen Jialing and Wang Jiafang was held to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the founding of Minhang New District.

One of the most notable exhibits is a landscape painting depicting Pujiang First Bay in the Minhang section of the Huangpu River, a silent witness to the district’s historical changes and industrial prosperity.

Twelve paintings depict Minhang from the perspective of his achievements in technology, social development, education, culture and ecology.

Since moving into their studio at Guanyuan Art Center in Minhang 5 years ago, Chen and Wang have worked on their projects there. They have witnessed first-hand the growth of the region.

“A painter is judged by his work. As a painter of a new era, we believe in encouraging people with works of art,” Wang said.
