Jeddah: Jeddah’s 2022 season concluded its activities today, after 60 days of exciting shows, programs and activities that took place in 13 zones and event sites across the city. More than 6 million domestic and international tourists, representing 129 countries, have attended and enjoyed more than 4,200 days of entertainment, cultural, artistic, tourism, maritime sports and other activities.
Jeddah’s season, which kicked off on May 2, broke records at every level. It represented the satisfaction of the public and answered all the desires and all the tastes of different ages and nationalities. The season focused on the diversity of options, the plurality of locations and their sustainability, the location of trades, the creation of job opportunities, and the improvement of competitiveness and quality of life in order to achieve the ambitious goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
The young national cadres of both genders have actively participated in the management, operation and supervision of all its activities for this year’s Jeddah Season. The number of Saudis working during the season exceeded 80% of the total workforce, demonstrating their capabilities and skills, and the season generated more than 76,000 direct and indirect employment opportunities. Additionally, the season featured many international shows, events and experiences, some of which were held for the first time in the world, and were able to attract visitors and tourists from 129 countries.
Nawaf Ali Gummusani, General Manager of Jeddah Season, highlighted the great successes achieved by Jeddah Season till the last day of its operations, during which the number of visitors exceeded 6 million.
